Summer is here! Enjoy our July newsletter, packed with information about upcoming events, a highlight of National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, and tips on how to help our youth avoid risky behaviors. Additionally, the Anchored Junior Board spent a week at the Georgia Teen Institute where they learned strategies and information to bring back to our youth and our general Wayne County community. Lastly, WCRC hosted a Youth Mental Health First Aid training where our community and individuals from neighboring counties got the chance to learn how to recognize signs of challenges, respond appropriately, and connect youth to support services. Our community partner and DFC grant fiscal agent has awarded two WCRC partners with mini grants to further Wayne County’s prevention efforts!
